Primrose

I'm told it's a primrose...?

It was beside our picnic table, near the water faucet, at the base of an evergreen.  One morning it was gloriously open, and so I began wriggling about, looking for the right view.

This shot is from behind the flower, looking toward the rising sun.  The beautiful blossom lasted just a single day.
