Sierra 2003

Hello, fellow lovers of the Four Corners!

Here are some shots taken at Capitol Reef and the Grand Canyon on our spring 2003 trips.  What a wonderful experience, to be able to shake off the winter gloom with time in the brilliant spring desert.  Thanks to our Sierra leaders for working to make it possible, to our National Park hosts, and to all the participants for their friendship and camaraderie!

Each of these thumbnails leads to a larger image, just click.  But even the larger images aren't big enough files to give you photo print quality.  If you want to print any of these scenes on a photo printer, let me know, and I'll either print it for you myself, or put a high-res image on Ofoto.com for you to order a print.  Many of these will go up to poster size, 20" x 30" and stay razor sharp.

Be well,

~Lynn

Look lively there, people! Paul says we're movin' out.

GC-003

Are we really supposed to be picking these buds?

GC-005

And then after that, the snow was blowing in sideways...

GC-006

Last year two lions nested up there, believe it or not.

GC-007

Now, Susan, don't back up too fast there...

GC-009

Note that each branch suspends a single blue crystal.

Martha Stewart selected these very pots for us.

Are you sure you planted the radishes here?!

GC-026

Look out -- Bruce, trip leader -- get to work!

GC-027

Sparky the riveter.

GC-029

Ride a shovel at the Canyon.

GC-030

I think it fell right about here...

GC-032

This thing could be dangerous!

GC-033

I think it works like this...
